The Fight at Home Continues
Whilst we are all Rightly concerned with developments in Ukraine & our thoughts & prayers & our support is with the Ukraine people as they suffer at the hands of a tyrant.
We also reflect on the resolve the population of Ukraine has shown it’s aggressors thus far !!
Veterans & Supporters United Stand shoulder to shoulder with those affected in Ukraine .
We at VASU also commend the Momentum Skills & Selfless Bravery of our Tri Service Personnel who are on the front lines in our Nato countries bordering this conflict . Quis Separabit .
Turning Our Attention Back Home
As everyone is well aware by now of the Continued Struggle OP Banner Veterans face in this never ending Witch Hunt by Republican Terrorists attempting to re write history . Our resolve must continue
This past week we lost another Soldier A-Z
Our good friend & member of VASU and fellow Veteran Ken Waddington.
A colourful sense of humour and lively character, he’ll be greatly missed by all who knew him.
“ Known to most as Soldier K
Ken was awaiting trial in Belfast as part of the legacy Inquests into the troubles .
“The muffled drum’s sad roll has beat
The soldier’s last tattoo;
No more on life’s parade shall meet
The brave and fallen few.
On fame’s eternal camping-ground
Their silent tents are spread,
And glory guards, with solemn round
The bivouac of the dead”
